Robert Jackson

I started in July of 2021 training for the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. Before i started that training, the most I had ever ran off of a treadmill was 3 miles and was doing a few local 5ks here and there.

I ran my first Boston Marathon (my 2nd ever marathon) in April 2022. This upcoming Boston will be my 2nd there and 5th overall.

Running excites me because it’s something most people don’t want to do! When it comes to other sports, people are like “I would like to try that” or “I did that before”. With running, it is always “you’re crazy” or “I could never do that.” You can go shoot a basketball whenever you want, but not many people are going to randomly run 20 miles on a Saturday morning at 4am.

No matter how fast you run, you’re still a runner! Just like the fast person you may know, you both are still runners. Running is more so about mental endurance than it is physical endurance, if you ask me.
