I consider anything 5K and above to be distance running. I officially claimed the title of 'distance athlete' in 2019 after my husband and I tackled a 50-mile challenge leading up to our nuptials. That experience sparked my passion for organized races and hasn't slowed down since.

I’m proud to announce that I’ll be running my first Boston Marathon on April 20th, 2026. This race is a major milestone in my journey, and standing on that start line as a Black woman and a distance athlete is an honor I don’t take lightly. I’m ready for the challenge!

What excites me most is knowing my body is capable of this journey. I love that I can take every run and make it my own but more importantly, I’m grateful for the opportunity to do it. Every mile is run with and in honor of the community we’ve built with Peace Runners 773.

Carrying the strength of those who came before us, we prove every day that we can do whatever we set our minds to. Find the beauty in the run, even when it’s hard. Always remember: we do hard things together.
